A. Per party, up to a maximum of 4 persons.
Q. What does the price include?
A. Exclusive use of lake, apartment and all large items of carp tackle.
Q. Are you an exclusive use only venue?
A. Yes.
Q. Does ‘exclusive use’ mean we have the lake to ourselves?
A. Yes, the lake and all facilities are for your party only. We have no bailiffs, no day tickets and the site is private.
Q. Do you do short breaks or longer than 1 week?
A. Yes, usually priced 'pro rata'.
Q. Can I bring my wife or girlfriend?
A. Yes, but a maximum of 4 persons on site still applies.
Q. How far is the nearest village?
A. 3 km’s, Saint Saud Lacoussiere.
Q. How far is the nearest supermarket?
A. 20 km's (15 minutes drive).
Q. Are there any attractions close by?
A. Yes, public lakes, outdoor markets, adventure park and numerous other places of interest to visit, all within 20 km's.
Q. Are there barbeque facilities?
A. Yes, there is a stone barbeque below the apartment, coals are available to purchase on site
Q. Do you have freezer space?
A. Yes, but limited.
Fishing
Q. Do you supply bait?
A. Yes, fresh frozen boilies, pellets and prepared particles.
Q. How would you rate the fishing?
A. Moderate.
Q. Can I bring my own equipment and tackle?
A. Yes, but you must use our landing nets, weigh slings and unhooking mats.
Q. Are bait boats allowed?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you provide spod/marker rods?
A. Yes we have 2.
Q. Do you supply sleeping bags?
A. No.
Q. What size are the bivvies?
A. All bivvies are doubles.
Q. What tackle do you provide?
A. We provide the following equipment and tackle
- Shimano Beastmaster Rods, 3lb TC, Good playing action and durable. 3 per angler.
- Fox Stalker Pod, for 3 rods, 4 adjustable legs, adjustable length with butt rests. one per angler.
- Geologic Geoduo Bivvy Dome, double skinned, very spacious. one per angler.
- Geologic 8 leg bedchair, fully sprung and adjustable. one per angler.
- Geologic Carp Chair, Large, fully adjustable with headrest. one per angler.
- Fox Warrior Landing Net, 42inch, with net float. one per angler.
- Carp Concept Beanie Unhooking Mat, very large, 52inch x 34inch. one per angler.
- Fox Weigh Sling with rods, 40inch long. one per angler.
- Starbaits Weigh Sling with rods, 48inch long. two per party.
- Reuben Heaton Weighing Scales 120lb and 60lb. Avon Scales 40lb and 32lb. one per angler.
- Coleman Sportster Stove and Standard Gas Cannister Stove. both per party.
- We also have 2 spod rods, a limited number of 'float' rods, a small boat that can be used for baiting up and spares of most items, just in case.
Q. What equipment and tackle do I bring?
A. You will need to bring the following items:-
- Sleeping Bag and pillow.
- Freespool reels loaded with monofilament line.
- Bite alarms.
- Bobbins/swingers.
- End tackle.
- Unhooking forceps/disgorgers.
- Head lamp and torch.
Q. What methods and baits work well?
A. Semi fixed rigs with hookbaits positioned under tree canopies, amongst heavily baited areas, have caught the most carp. Boilies, pellets and particles have all worked well.
Q. Do we have access to the entire lake?
A. Yes.
Q. Is stalking a good method on the lake?
A. Yes.
Q. Are there 'poisson chat' in the lake?
A. No.
Q. What other fish are in the lake?
A. Wels catfish, tench, zander, perch, chub, roach, rudd, pike, pumpkinseed and trout.
Q. What are the lake records?
A. Carp 54lb 4oz and Catfish 76lb 8oz
Q. Do we need fishing licences or permits?
A. No.
Q. Is there legal night fishing?
A. Yes.

A. Limoges.
Q. Do you collect and return to Limoges Airport?
A. Yes, 100 Euros per party.

A. 50 km's ( 40 minutes drive).
Q. Is car hire available at Limoges Airport?
A. Yes.
Q. How far is the venue from Calais?
A. 738 km’s. The quickest journey time is 6 and a half hours. Set Sat Navs to La Bucherie (Saint Saud Laco...) and La Peyriere.
Apartment
Q. What facilities are in the apartment?
A. Sitting area, dining area, kitchen, shower, wash basin and toilet and one bedroom with double bed. Also small viewing balcony.
Q. Are charging points available?
A. Yes we have English adaptors.
Q. Is there a fridge in the apartment?
A. Yes, larder type ( no freezer compartment)
Q. Is there a TV and DVD in the apartment?
A. Yes, Sat, Free View.
Food
Q. Within the food package can you cater for vegetarians?
A. Yes, but sorry not vegans.
Q. Do you have snacks available?
A. Yes, list available on arrival.
Weather
Q. What is the weather like?
A. Compared to the uk we normally have a shorter winter with an early spring followed by a long summer. Warm weather can extend to mid November. (We can let you know last years weather, month by month, on request).
